well said. well said, indeed. I saw her in Manon two years ago. Here at the Lyric Opera. Loved her.

The closest I’ve come to seeing her live was in La Fille du régiment when it was broadcast to local theaters from the Met in 2008. She was a riot, and her “Il faut partir” was gorgeous and wrenching.

You are a Natalie Dessay fan? I think I like you more than I should right now.

She’s just so adorable and exuberant and hilarious. I couldn’t help falling in love.

stuck in your head is it?

Yes. No. Maybe. :D

Which version are you listening to? I’m partial to Dawn Upshaw’s rendition but I find Kristen Chenoweth’s take on Cunégonde enchanting and adorable.

I love both of those. I also love Natalie Dessay’s rendition(s) because I just love her, period. One of the versions I listened to this morning, though, was Alex Kelly’s from the Royal National Theatre cast recording from 1999. Not my favorite, but still fun.

I have free reign over my library’s iPad, but I never use it because it’s a pain in the ass. They’re overpriced and useless. Don’t do it!

See, but unlike you, I love iPads and can’t get enough of them. Basically I want it to take the place of my iPhone when I’m at home.

I will be no help. I bought a new Mac with mine.

Ooh, what kind?

Paying down debt is un-American.

I agree.

PAY OFF YOUR CARDS! the interest will eat you alive. pay it off then use it for an ipad.

Yes, this is what the rational part of my brain is telling me. But that part of my brain doesn’t seem to get its way very often.

I thought I was alone in my love of tomato sandwiches.

I only warmed up to tomatoes recently. I grew up hating them. But tomato sandwiches are now among my favorite foods.
